I'm convinced that the Becca counter in Sephora is just there to tease me because every time I visit it, the products are sold out, especially the highlighters that have become such a sensation within the beauty community this past year. Well oddly enough, after the Sephora VIB sale, I was able to find a couple of these gems in store. So what happened next? I became a little swatch crazy of course!

If you're of a light-medium complexion like myself or even fairer, you'll notice (sadly) that the majority of these skin perfectors, including the cult favorite, Opal, are not fair skin friendly. They will end up deepening up the skin and making the areas you're trying to highlight a bit muddy. However, if you can get your hands on Moonstone, I recommend it for all my fair skin beauty addicts that are going for a white gold highlight as opposed to the pinky highlights that are often some of our only options. Plus, every time you use it, it feels like you're treating yourself to a bit of luxury.
And if you're wondering...yes, the packaging does look a bit like a futuristic spaceship.
This is a highlight that can be used with a fluffy highlighter brush to give a more subtle highlight or you can pack it on top of a liquid highlighter to get that famous metallic, dewy glow. The product itself is very soft so be careful; you can end up going to town with this bad boy very quickly. And please, please, please don't drop this if you want it to remain a pressed highlighter.
Overall, I'd say the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors are beauty splurges that are totally worth the hype. These highlighters retail for $38 at Sephora or the Becca Cosmetics website and contain 8 grams of product.
